If you talked to me at all before I had Petey, you probably heard how nervous I was to have two kids. I felt like I was still getting a grip on just being a mommy to Teddy, let alone two babies! I had such a hard time keeping up with Teddy this summer and it made me really scared to even imagine keeping up with him and a newborn. Everyone told me I'd be fine. I did not believe a single one of them!

They were right! It is so much better than I ever thought! Not only is it better with two kids, it's easier than I ever could have imagined as well. I never thought that having two kids could make me love both of them so much more. It's like the love I felt for Teddy, doubled, tripled overnight and my love for Petey was just as strong. I cried looking at my boys because the love I felt for them was simply overwhelming.

It seems that while Petey arrived in this world fast and furious, he is just the opposite in personality. He is calm, chill and most importantly a good sleeper. My sister and I joked very early on that maybe, just maybe, I had one of those mythical babies that sleep during the night. I totally do! I was so worried when I was pregnant with him because I had severe pregnancy insomnia. I was up at 4 am most days...the worst being 1 am! I had this growing fear that Petey was sleep training me for when he came. I had pretty much said goodbye to sleeping for at least another year and oddly enough, I was okay with that. I learned to function on a few hours of sleep. And then he was born and when he slept, I slept. And then he started sleeping longer stretches at night, like right away. As if that wasn't amazing enough, he also slept out of my arms and just layed there next to me. And when Petey started sleeping 5-6 hours in the co-sleeper, I felt like I'd died and gone to heaven. Now at 11 weeks old he is sleeping 6-8 hours a night and taking a couple naps during the day.

In three short weeks, my maternity leave will end and my babies will go to Belinda's for the day. I am going to miss them so much! I have loved every minute with them at home.
