6 Month Well Visit
Thursday, Teddy got his 6 month shots. He did so good! He cried at first and then totally settled down. We went to Carri's to visit the Schneider clan. We had a more than lovely afternoon! It was so good to see Carri and her family. Josie was so sweet to Bea and Teddy, it made me want to have more right now! Okay, maybe not right now, but soon!
Teddy's weight gain has slowed down considerably. He went from the 90th percentile to the 25th. I'm not too worried about it, as he is 17 lbs 4 oz, and looks perfectly healthy, he's happy and hitting every milestone. But we are going to start solids soon! He's 25.5 inches of perfection!
He has started pulling himself up and trying to balance himself. I KNOW this means he'll be walking sooner than we can imagine. It's weird because when he was first born, I couldn't wait for him to "grow up" and do things more independently...and now it's here and I look at Bea, so new and fresh, and I want to go back in time! Stop growing up Tbear! You are the most precious, cutie baby in the world and I want to cherish every single second with you, just as you are!
Nick came home from Vegas yesterday and we were both super glad to see him. Teddy giggled and smiled bigger and brighter than he had all week. And then he went to sleep like an angel and let Mommy and Daddy snuggle on the couch, because they missed each other so much too!

This shall be deemed the week of the milestones!
So this week, Teddy has accomplished the following feats...
1. Babbling, mama, dada, baba, bubba, and any combination of all of those! It was simply amazing. He went to be just a yeller and screecher and woke up a talker!
2. He decided after a week of crawling and lounging (see "Side plank" pic below) that sitting up on his own would be pretty cool too!
3. He got his first TOOTH! He had a runny nose and was tugging at his ears. After getting no sleep Monday night as he was waking up every hour or so wailing, I decided to bring him in to school to get his ears checked. **One of my lavish benefits of being a teacher- full time nurse on staff and willing to check ears to save me a $25 co-pay. Oh how I bet Kasich is just fuming over that one! That has to be what caused this budget crisis..right! (ok- no politics here! NO SB5!! sorry- now I'm done!) So the nurse checks his ears and says they look great. She can see his nose is a little stuffy and as I'm tilting him back so she can get a better look, she says "Oh! There's a tooth!" And lo and behold there was a toofer! No wonder he was up all night! Poor little guy was cutting a tooth. Needless to say, he has been much happier!
4. He is pulling up and standing on his own. This morning when I went to get him, there he was, trying to stand up on the side of the crib. He can also pull up and stand on our legs. He was even standing at Belinda's and shaking his booty! You know I need him to be a dancer!!!
5. Tomorrow he will take his first airplane ride to VEGAS BABY! The whole Robbe clan in going out there for a family trip. And then Nick is staying for a trade show.
